IS THERE A BEGINNERS CLASS?
If you’re new to Pilates, we recommend starting with a Foundations to Pilates class. You’ll also be guided to join a Stretch & Bend session to prepare your body for full workouts. If it’s been more than six months since your last Pilates class, we ask that you return to the Stretch & Bend session first to refresh your technique. These foundational movements will strengthen and support your body, setting you up for success in every class. Designed to gently dissolve hesitation or fear, this class leaves you feeling confident, empowered, and familiar with Pilates techniques, movements, and apparatus names — so you can move with ease and strength.
IS PILATES BY JACQUELINE FOR ALL FITNESS LEVELS?
Pilates By Jacqueline classes are physically demanding and may not be suitable for individuals with certain medical conditions. Clients with serious prior injuries, chronic conditions, or those who are pregnant in their second or third trimester must obtain clearance from a physician prior to participating in class. By attending, you acknowledge that you are medically cleared to exercise and assume responsibility for listening to your body and working within your personal limits. Modifications will be offered at the instructor’s discretion; however, participation is at your own risk.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I TAKE A CLASS?
For optimal results and proper muscle recovery, we recommend attending sculpt classes up to three times per week, allowing for a 1–2 day rest period between sessions. Stretch classes are restorative in nature and are not considered strength or sculpt workouts, so they may be taken on rest days.
CAN I TAKE A CLASS PREGNANT?
Pilates may be safely practiced during pregnancy with appropriate modifications, but risk increases as pregnancy progresses. For your and your baby’s safety, written clearance from your healthcare provider is required once you enter your second trimester, and you must disclose your pregnancy status before attending class. Certain exercises may be modified or restricted based on your stage of pregnancy, instructor judgment, and medical guidance.
GRIPPY SOCKS
Grippy socks are required to help maintain studio cleanliness and, most importantly, to ensure your safety by preventing slips and supporting proper execution of poses.
If you do not have a pair, grippy socks are available for purchase at the studio. Please note that participants who choose not to wear grippy socks will not be permitted to take class.
